A long time ago in a galaxy far far away DEATH COWS arrived on earth unleashing the anarchist punk ritual upon the masses. DANA SHEPARD the devillocked punkrocked officially the fastest drummer in the world, TREVOR AYER a moody cure fan with bone crushing mad guitar and a few well placed words , TOMMALONE the psychic bass master of the DEATH COWS disaster. We rubbed elbows with the DEAD MILKMEN, I got my song OH HEY IM SO ENLIGHTENED NOW covered by EUGENE HUTZ of THE FAGS and GOGOL BORDELLO, caused girl fights, put on hardcore punk fests, lived with DO IT NOW FOUNDATION, procreated with PEG TASSEY, broke up her band and our band made THE VELVET OVUM BAND and jammed with SAM ANDREWS of BIG BROTHER AND THE HOLDING COMPANY recorded with ETHAN AZARIAN of HOLLYWOOD INDIANS and ORANGE MOTHERS, fell in love with a coven of witches and i'm still nursing my stitches.
I was dubbed the LO FI KING which brings me to VERMONTS FIRST BOX SET by yours truly, a huge collection of 4 track demos and general obnoxiousness. Followed shortly there after with well recieved KISSING ANGELS record. I recorded THE BEAUTIFUL RIDE and LIVE COMPOST with MIKE SARCONA who played drums and had produced HOPE SANDOVAL. With a little help from MICHAEL SECORE on bass and JOSH KARP on hand drums and saxophone. we played the grand opening of both the restaraunt EGRESS and the legendary COMPOST ART CENTER thanks to ownder JULIET KING. I sat in with the swampgrass country SNAKEROOT band on holloween LED ZEP cover night. And had a child with JASMINE SILVER.
When DANA SHEPARD flew in from California for a week we buckled down and recorded the ONE IN A MILLION record with a stangly acoustic yet punk tribal feel with his son ZEKE SHEPARD on 2nd drums and some bass from MICHAEL SECORE as well. Then came the notorious THE BEAUTIFUL RIDE with fiery drumming by KEVIN LAWYER, MICHAEL SECORE on bass and TREVOR AYER on the other sounds as usual. Playing all over the universe dropping back on earth for the occasional warm up show at the local bar or rave. Releasing the fearlessly titled psychadelic tribal punk masterpiece NEVERMIND NIRVANA ITS THE BEAUTIFUL RIDE filled with thick melodic distortions it was one of a series of sessions filled with numerous experiments.
